a needle-felted dragon :::

sorry i've been so absent.  i had to finish this wool dragon for my son's class basket (they're doing a "my father's dragon" theme).

i can't believe february is gone already.  it's so weird.  here we are in march.  next week is marley's birthday.  she will be ten years old.  ten years old!  i am walking around dumbstruck.  

there are paper garlands to make, a dress to sew, a sweater to finish knitting...

so many good things.

i am aching to spend time outside, somewhere away from the city, and keep gazing at the happy campers site.  spring, where are you?  i am ready...

i totally agree! i'm still shocked it's march even a week into it.

kid's carving ::: some of the wood carving the kids did over the weekend. each piece has a name, but i can't remember what any of them are, except i think the second from the right is called "cow" and that one on the left is actually a doll with yarn hair glued on and everything. both kids have their own carving knives and have been collecting sticks over the past several weeks and for whatever reason, sunday was a day of maniacal wood carving, which carried over into today. wood chips are everywhere. 6 days until marley's birthday and i'm beginning to...
