making: valentines xoxo

valentines for griffin's 23 class mates + teachers. we decided to share some of our sunflower harvest. he's not big on passing out gifts in class (i'm not sure if he just doesn't like the attention or ?? which is interesting because he can be quite the clown which = attention). sooo, he's undecided as to whether or not he's actually going to pass out valentines on monday, but he's bringing them all safely tucked away into a pocket of his lunch bag anyway, just in case.

i think anything tucked into a glassine envelope and sealed with paper tape is definitely probably worth passing out, but that's just me.

i can not stop looking at these knitted baby blanket kits. i found them through abby's interview at this joy and ride. the colors are so gorgeous. i bet they would make a nice lap blanket as well. no yarn buying for me though until i use up my stash. but wow. can't stop looking.

water paper paint ::: i really love heather's new book. it has such gorgeous photos and is so beautifully set up with projects that practically leap off the page, grab your arms and drag you to a quiet corner, demanding to be made. i have this vision of packing up paints and paper and brushes and glass jars and setting out on a picnic with the kids into some wild field somewhere, where we can work through the projects one by one for hours and soak in the afternoon sun. :::
