knitting wip + links :::

this is my third attempt at elizabeth zimmerman's tomten jacket.   on my last two attempts, i realized 10 inches or so into the knitting that the gauge was completely off (even though i made a swatch).  grrrr.  learning.  i'm giving it another go.  third time's the charm?

i'm really loving this photo + quote today.

and this article about the amish raw milk black market (kind of flabbergasted by the "banning raw milk" part, when you start comparing it to things like alcohol which has caused oh close to 700,000 deaths in the last 10 years compared to the 2 deaths raw milk has caused and yet they would never ban alcohol and here they are trying to ban raw milk.  hmmm).

this recipe for peanut butter ice cream (made from coconut milk) and chocolate sauce that i'd love to try, except that i might substitute raw milk for the coconut milk.  but maybe not.  maybe i'll try it both ways.

also very inspired by this shop (my favorite dress) filled with very sweet handmade items.  i'm particularly loving the market bags and the kitchen kits complete with hand-knitted washcloths and bags for groceries + handmade napkins.  what great ideas.
