recipe for chai tea concentrate that i want to make: here
and + does anyone know a good place to get ahold of a kombucha starter? i'm going to ask the folks in this group. they seem to know what they're doing. i've made it before and it was delicious but then i got caught up in other things and just didn't. i think it just got easier to buy it for a while. but it's $3.59 a bottle!! so... now's looking like a good time to start making it again. plus it's easy + tastes good + is good for you. so many reasons to do it.
oh! and this family dinners book and jamie oliver's family cookbook are now on my wish list. i can't stop looking at cookbooks for some reason.

++ oh wait, i just found exactly the kombucha store i wanted here. unless i can get in touch with someone making organic kombucha at home that happens to have an extra "mushroom" available.
I need to start making it again as well. So easy and delicious!

My friend Renai at http://www.areyoumyghost.com was just talking to me yesterday about if anyone wants a SCOBY from her! Maybe she'll send you one?

Jamie Oliver is my personal god. he's so cute and enthusiastic and HELPFUL.
Title for your post: "Tiffanie: Unraveled." Though the yarn looks to be in tact...!!!
I'm totally checking out the Chai deal. I always worry about where the Kombucha would end up in an earthquake sitch. I spend the majority of my mental energy strategizing for catastrophes!!!!

Perfect! I am the queen of telling people what to do and EXACTLY how it should be done so....I'm yours.
O.K. the Kombucha/ earthquake thing: I do have just a touch of OCD so whenever I'm in my food pantry ( Envision pasta sauce, jarred pepperoncini's, molasses etc...) I'm pondering the clean up job if we had a serious shaker. I have considered making Kombucha, but I know I would have to store it up high enough for little curious 6 year olds to not mess with. Thus. I'm left with the mental image of a slimy Kombucha "mother" laced with broken glass all over the floor!!!
I suppose a normal person wouldn't go down this road.......getting the picture?
Good thing I have had sick kids for the past 6 days and now I'm down for the count so I can just reply to your posts all the live long day!!!
