skatepark, barbecued chicken + rice sushi rolls; hawaii style, wingtips, the opera in the abandoned warehouse that really wasn't all that child friendly (oops), trying to begin to understand rook, a little tour de france ogling, flip flops and sweaters, sun peeking out in the afternoon (sort of), seedless watermelon, homemade pudding, chores beginning to pile up, the magicians...

These are just amazing!!!!!!!! I love them so much! I've saved a lot of the artwork from kids I've babysat for over the years, now of my own children. My plan is to frame a bunch and group them together. How are things?!?! Think about you often. Hope your summer has officially gotten off the ground.

i know, isnt kids artwork the best???

i plastered a bunch of my littles drawings onto a large canvas and painted a little shine on it and embellished it with some goldleaf and we have it hanging by our front door. kind of fun. ive also been tossing around the frame idea. i like the concept of having a permanent installation of frames and then getting to swap out the artwork as the kids grow and their styles change. i bought a bunch of frames from ikea. i just need to pick a spot on the wall and hang them, already!!! please send pics when you get around to doing YOUR frames!!

summer is amazing. im already dreading the end, which is fast approaching. hows yours going?

when is it really going to be summer? collection : nikon d700 bottle rocket, wine with the neighbors, ice cold pools, overcast gray drippy skies, chicken taquitos with homemade guacamole + salsa, strange invisible perfume, bright orange scooters with baskets, bingo, box o fun, skateboard camp, new brakes, vintage bird houses, late nights. it's july. why is it still gloomy outside? i like it, but it doesn't really feel like summer, in the way that i remember it, yet. this weather makes me want to stay indoors and we should be out at the beach, playing cards and sucking on popcicles, donning sunglasses, dripping with sweat and dipping...

a little roving i am working on my own roving, putting together colors at random, with absolutely no planning at all. i love how the colors come out all jumbled and swirly. i still haven't spun any of it yet, but i'm enjoying the process of just. making. the. roving. very relaxing. wondering if roving would be a good thing to carry in my etsy shoppe when i eventually get around to opening it again? yes, maybe i will. thinking about it. i still have to find time to design labels and packaging and all those good things that make giving and receiving...
