oh hi there

it's been a while.  how are you?

i am on an organizing frenzy.  i think i got hit with the spring-clean bug here at the end of the season, finally.  now cooking and almost everything else is being ignored and it's just clean, clean clean.  there are two weeks of school left, and i'm trying to get most of it done before the kids get out.  things are still cluttered as ever, but in a more organized way.  i can find things now, almost.  it's nice.

also...

after three years of hunting i finally tracked down an old card catalog.  i am so excited.  i am loading it up with pictures that have been stowed away in boxes and odd, random books behind ancient videos and knick knacks in cupboards where nobody could find them.  now we can just open a drawer and look at pictures!  yay.  i'm so grateful because i'm just not the scrapbooking type - yet - and my poor kids hardly ever get to see any of the pictures i take.  problem solved.
