we pulled chard and other greens from the garden and combined them with fried onions and garlic and butternut squash (from our csa box) and cream and cheese to make the "cream of whatever" soup gillian suggested. incredible.
we also harvested a whole bunch of purple potatoes today from a container we had thought produced nothing. what a welcome surprise!
i love these seeds + this apron for gardening.

hi gillian,
it was so delish. thank you for the insightful and simple recipe. i love that i didnt have to whip out a book. im sooo game for purple potato soup, but i knew my kids would never eat it, so we chopped them up into little squares, parboiled them and fried them instead. yummy with a chard salad and some sort of protein.
have a lovely day. its supposed to rain over here. im going to try to get my outside exercise time in before it starts dumping (and then its all about the fireplace, some knitting and something hot to drink).
cheers!

hi imene,
thank you! i know what you mean about the box. ours kept coming with squash and now theyre piled high in a corner. luckily they keep for a while. weve been able to pare down from receiving a box every week to receiving one every two weeks because of whats been growing in our little container garden! im kind of excited about that. hopefully well get better and better at this gardening thing.
have a lovely day!
